Located about 400km from the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Québec is one of the world's most picturesque cities and is the capital of the province of Quebec. Founded by Champlain in 1608, Québec City has about 500,000 inhabitants.

Québec City is rich in history and tradition and has a European flavor. You will enjoy the excellent restaurants and typical cafés. Québec is the only North American city, north of Mexico, to have maintained its fortifications. The School is located in historical Old Québec. You will love it!

Group courses

This course is for those who have to improve their French but who don't have any specific needs.
Nevertheless, we prepare foreign students for the mandatory language exams in universities (TOEFL and others).

18 years old minimum
Prerequisite: None
evaluation upon arrival.

Groups:

Formed in homogeneous groups by the School
Pre-formed groups are accepted. Ask us for information.

Number of students per class:

Regular group: 4 to 9 students. 20hrs of courses per week. Nevertheless, for the purpose of level compatibility:
if there is 1 person in the group, the student will receive 10 hrs private tuition, instead
of 20 hrs in a group (or 20 hrs instead of 40 hrs for 2 weeks, etc.);
if there are 2 people in the group, they will receive 15 hrs tuition (or 30 hrs instead of
40 hrs for 2 weeks, etc.);
if there are 3 people in the group, they will receive 17.5 hrs tuition (or 35 hrs instead
of 40 hrs for 2 weeks, etc.);
4 people and over, the group will take 20 hrs (or 40 hrs for 2 weeks).
+ 5 hours in our audiovisual workstation in all cases.

Sessions:

All year round
A new session starts every Monday.
Classes from Monday to Friday, 20 hours a week, in the morning or the afternoon.

NB: The hours lost because of statutory holidays will not be rescheduled during the week.

Minimum stay:

1 week. A new session will start every Monday. A student could choose to stay, for example, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or one year, in fact, as long as he wishes.

Linguistic and socio-cultural activities:

Activities are not included in the 20 hours per week.

Lodging:

Host family (private bedroom, breakfast and dinner) or residence (breakfast).

NB: The lodging is calculated starting from Sunday's dinner to Saturday's breakfast, extra nights and meals will be charged.

Board, apartment or hotel: various prices, upon request.

Individual courses

Special for executives, diplomats, technicians, professionals, etc.

This course is completely adapted to the student's needs (vocabulary, work situations, etc.). In this case, we would ask the participants to furnish their requirements.

Number of students per class:

Private courses: one (1) participant.
Pre-organized groups - with generally 2 to 6 participants: without exception, all students must be at the same level working for the same organisation or at least, in the same field, in order to make the above-mentioned adaptation possible. If these conditions are not met, it is preferable to opt for the general language course specified in Program N°I.

Sessions:

All year round, at the dates of your choice.

Private courses : 10-20-or 40-hour sessions.

Also available, 48-hour programs on 6 days or programs less than 5 days adapted to the needs and schedule of the participant. Please consult us.

Group courses : 20 hour sessions.

Linguistic and socio-cultural activities:

If the participant wishes, the School could organize industrial tours and meetings with their counterparts or any other activity. It is best to give us notice in order to plan the activities requested. Activities and excursions are not included in the program and are at the student's expense.

Lodging:

The School could, upon request, take care of the lodging. Many possibilities are offered : host family, residence, bed & breakfast, hotel or apartment.

Combined program

In this program you take 20hrs. per week in a group (see possible restrictions in "I") and, in addition, you take the number of hours (you decide how many) in a private course.

Example:

20hrs. of group courses per week, plus 2hrs. per day of private courses (10hrs. per week), for a total of 30 hours per week.

Advantage:

For a moderate price, you combine the advantages of the two programs: general French with the group course and an adaptation to your needs or specific difficulties with the private course.
